Clear flat grants for a single-family home: CHF 9'000 air-to-water, CHF 13'000 ground- or water-source — when replacing a fossil or electric heating system.

Thermal insulation
CHF 70/m² of insulated element (facade, roof, walls, floor), for buildings with a permit before 2000, capped at 30% of the investment.
Am I eligible? →Solar: the Pronovo one-time grant
The Valais Buildings Programme contains no solar measure: "Solar subsidy applications must be submitted to Pronovo", states the canton2. The federal one-time grant is claimed after commissioning for installations below 100 kWp.
At altitude, Valais solar benefits from exceptional sunshine and winter snow reflection — a factor we build into the sizing. Discover our solar offer.

Heat pump: CHF 9'000 or 13'000 flat
For a single-family home, the Valais directive sets flat grants1:
- Air-to-water (M-05): CHF 9'000, capped at 40% of the total investment.
- Ground- or water-source (M-06): CHF 13'000, same cap; drilling by a certified company is mandatory.
Key conditions: replacement of an oil, natural-gas or fixed electric heating system; the heat pump covers heating and hot water alone; heat-pump system module required up to 15 kW; sizing per SIA 384/2. Works may only start after the e-mail confirming the filing — at your own risk until the formal decision.

Insulation: CHF 70/m², single rate
Valais measure M-01 pays CHF 70 per m² of insulated element — facade, roof, walls and floor against ground1.
- Building permit before 2000; already heated parts only.
- U ≤ 0.20 W/m²K after works (0.25 for buried elements deeper than 2 m); improvement of at least 0.07 W/m²K.
- Cap: 30% of the investment; CECB Plus required above 142 insulated m²; windows alone not eligible.
- Minimum: projects yielding less than CHF 3'000 of aid are not accepted.

Your subsidy application in 4 steps
Eligibility and estimate
We identify the applicable federal, cantonal and municipal subsidies — clearly separating confirmed amounts from estimates.
Technical visit
A technician checks the building, power sizing, surfaces and the documents your application needs.
Filing at the right moment
Before works for cantonal measures, after commissioning for the Pronovo one-time federal grant.
Follow-up until payout
Invoices, certificates, completion notice: we follow the file until the money is actually paid.
Two extras worth remembering
Municipal subsidies
Several municipalities in the canton — including Sion, Martigny, Sierre, Monthey — grant additional energy or renovation aid. Amounts, deadlines and budgets vary: get written confirmation from the municipality before counting this aid in your financing. We check your municipality before the quote.
Tax deductions
Energy-saving works are generally tax-deductible for private owners — but only the share you actually pay after subsidies counts. Confirm the details with the cantonal tax administration; we provide the supporting documents.
Abelarti in the canton of Valais
From the Chablais to central Valais, our teams work regularly across the canton — the photo on this page comes from our Champéry worksite. Clear cantonal flat grants, record sunshine: Valais is one of the best places in Switzerland for solar energy and heat pumps.
Are your works eligible for the 2026 subsidies?
We identify the schemes that apply at your address, quantify the aid in your quote and file each application at the right moment.

Does Valais subsidise solar panels directly?
No. The Valais Buildings Programme contains no solar measure: support goes through the federal one-time grant, claimed from Pronovo after commissioning.
Should the application be filed before or after the works?
Before, imperatively: applications for works already started are refused. Works may begin once the filing-confirmation e-mail arrives — at your own risk until the formal decision, which is then valid for 24 months.
Is the CHF 9'000 flat grant guaranteed for every heat pump?
The M-05 flat grant applies to single-family homes, within 40% of the total investment, and only when replacing an oil, gas or fixed electric heating system. The heat pump must cover heating and hot water alone.
Is a storage battery subsidised in Valais?
The Valais Buildings Programme has no aid dedicated to residential batteries. A possible municipal aid is checked at the project address — see our storage solutions.
Are second homes eligible?
The Valais directive does not restrict the measures to primary residences, but each file is assessed on its own conditions. We confirm your eligibility during the free study.
Can Abelarti handle the application for me?
Yes. We check eligibility, prepare the documents, file or accompany the application, then follow the completion paperwork through to payment. It is part of our service — talk to an advisor.
