All energy grants, integrated and optimised into your quote

Automatically benefit from all available subsidies: the federal Pronovo remuneration for photovoltaics, the Buildings Programme for the heat pump and insulation, as well as any municipal bonuses.

Thanks to our expertise in the schemes available across French-speaking Switzerland, we analyse your situation and handle all the administrative formalities.

A simplified project, a controlled investment, with no paperwork on your part.

Each measure has its own funding

In Switzerland, energy grants for private individuals are structured by type of work: each measure benefits from its own support scheme. When properly coordinated, these various contributions generally cover between 30% and 60% of the overall investment.

Photovoltaics — Pronovo one-off remuneration (federal level)

Any compliant photovoltaic installation in Switzerland qualifies for the one-off remuneration paid by Pronovo. This grant generally amounts to between CHF 350 and 700 per kWp installed. Independent of cantonal budgets, it is guaranteed as soon as the conditions are met. The application must be submitted after the installation has been commissioned. Note that in French-speaking Switzerland, the canton of Geneva offers a supplement through its ECO21 programme (SIG). No other French-speaking canton grants a specific subsidy for residential photovoltaics based on a per-kWp amount.

Heat pump, insulation, windows — Buildings Programme (cantonal level)

The cantons mainly intervene through the Buildings Programme, which supports in particular the replacement of heating systems with a heat pump, thermal insulation work, replacing windows or even solar thermal. The amounts vary depending on the canton and the nature of the work (for example: CHF 3'000 to 12'000 for a heat pump, and around CHF 20 to 90 per m² for insulation). As the grants are subject to annual budgets, it is advisable to submit applications early in the year. The application must be approved before work begins.

Storage battery — Special case

Storage batteries are generally not the subject of specific subsidies in the French-speaking cantons. The canton of Neuchâtel is an exception, providing direct support through its cantonal fund dedicated to renewable energy. Elsewhere, the grants concern only the overall photovoltaic installation, via Pronovo, without explicitly including the battery.

Municipal subsidies (local bonuses)

Some municipalities offer additional grants in the form of flat-rate amounts, generally between CHF 500 and 3'000 (for example Lausanne as well as several Geneva municipalities, Yverdon or La Chaux-de-Fonds). These contributions can often be combined with federal and cantonal grants. A case-by-case check is nonetheless required depending on the municipality.

What our clients ask us

Do I need to submit the application before or after the works?

Before the works for cantonal and municipal subsidies. The federal Pronovo subsidy is applied for after commissioning. We respect these deadlines: no works before the cantonal subsidy is validated.

How long does validation take?

Cantonal (heat pump, insulation): 4 to 10 weeks depending on the canton. Federal Pronovo (PV): a few months after commissioning. The fastest cantons for the heat pump + insulation component: Vaud, Valais. Geneva is the most generous (notably thanks to ECO21, which adds a cantonal PV bonus — a French-speaking Switzerland exception), but the processing times there are longer.

Can the cantonal budgets run out?

Yes, for the cantonal component (heat pump, insulation), especially at the end of the year. The federal Pronovo one-off remuneration (PV) does not have a limited budget — it is guaranteed for any compliant installation. Our recommendation: commit to the cantonal components in the first half of the year to secure the budget.

Can I combine federal, cantonal and municipal support?

Yes, in most cases — each measure has its own funding source (Pronovo for PV, the cantonal Buildings Programme for heat pumps and insulation, occasional municipal bonuses). Combining them is generally allowed. Some municipalities set conditions (Minergie label, combination limit) that we check for your specific municipality.

Why doesn't the canton subsidise my solar panels?

Because in Switzerland, residential photovoltaics is funded at the federal level via the Pronovo one-off remuneration — not at the cantonal level. This support is universal and guaranteed. The only French-speaking canton to pay an additional cantonal PV bonus is Geneva (the ECO21 / SIG programme). The other French-speaking cantons focus their support on heat pumps, insulation and solar thermal via the Buildings Programme.

And the storage battery — is it subsidised?

Neuchâtel is the only French-speaking canton to offer direct cantonal support for residential batteries, through its cantonal fund for renewable energy. In the other French-speaking cantons, there is no dedicated battery subsidy; the support comes via the overall photovoltaic project (Pronovo applies to the PV installation, while the battery remains funded by the owner).

Note that some municipalities and/or grid operators may occasionally offer additional support.

Is my second home eligible?

It depends on the canton. Valais and Jura are generally favourable. Geneva is more restrictive. We analyse your situation to confirm eligibility.

Can I also benefit from a tax deduction on top?

Yes, in most French-speaking cantons. Energy-saving investments are deductible from the cantonal income tax, sometimes spread over several years. Consult your tax advisor to optimise.
