Heat pump
CHF 3'500 + 150/kW air-to-water, CHF 5'000 + 300/kW geothermal — plus CHF 1'000 if the heat pump also produces domestic hot water.

Thermal insulation
CHF 50/m² of insulated element, and CHF 60/m² if you insulate at least 90% of the facade and roof in one step.
Am I eligible? →Solar: the Pronovo one-time grant
Canton Fribourg pays no cantonal aid for residential solar: support goes through the federal one-time grant managed by Pronovo2. For installations below 100 kWp, the application is filed after commissioning.
We size the installation, run the Pronovo file and price every aid into the quote. Discover our solar offer.

Heat pump: base + power + hot-water supplement
The Fribourg scale combines a base, the power and hot water1:
- Air-to-water (M-05): CHF 3'500 + CHF 150 per kW, + CHF 1'000 if the heat pump also produces domestic hot water.
- Ground- or water-source (M-06): CHF 5'000 + CHF 300 per kW, + CHF 1'000 hot water; drilling by a certified company.
Key conditions: replacement of an oil, natural-gas or fixed electric heating system; building envelope at least CECB class E; heat-pump system module up to 15 kW; power capped at 50 W/m². Fribourg particularity: works may only start once the grant decision has been received (usually 2 to 4 weeks).

Insulation: CHF 50/m², bonus 60 for the full envelope
Fribourg measure M-01 pays1:
| Facade, roof, walls and floor — U ≤ 0.20 W/m²K after works | CHF 50/m² |
| IP-14 bonus: ≥ 90% of facade + roof surfaces insulated in one step | CHF 60/m² |
Conditions: permit before 2000, U-value improved by at least 0.07 W/m²K, minimum CHF 1'000 per application, CECB Plus above CHF 10'000 of aid. And a local asset: our swisspor insulation is made in Châtel-St-Denis, in the canton. Discover our insulation solutions.

Your subsidy application in 4 steps
Eligibility and estimate
We identify the applicable federal, cantonal and municipal subsidies — clearly separating confirmed amounts from estimates.
Technical visit
A technician checks the building, power sizing, surfaces and the documents your application needs.
Filing at the right moment
Before works for cantonal measures, after commissioning for the Pronovo one-time federal grant.
Follow-up until payout
Invoices, certificates, completion notice: we follow the file until the money is actually paid.
Two extras worth remembering
Municipal subsidies
Several municipalities in the canton — including Fribourg, Bulle, Châtel-St-Denis, Romont — grant additional energy or renovation aid. Amounts, deadlines and budgets vary: get written confirmation from the municipality before counting this aid in your financing. We check your municipality before the quote.
Tax deductions
Energy-saving works are generally tax-deductible for private owners — but only the share you actually pay after subsidies counts. Confirm the details with the cantonal tax administration; we provide the supporting documents.

Check my eligibilityFribourg subsidies 2026: the essential answers
Does Fribourg subsidise solar panels directly?
No — residential solar support goes through the federal one-time grant, managed by Pronovo, claimed after commissioning.
Should the application be filed before or after the works?
Fribourg applies the strict rule: file before the works, and the site may only start once the grant decision has been received — allow 2 to 4 weeks. For solar, the Pronovo application is made after commissioning.
Is the CHF 1'000 hot-water supplement automatic?
It applies when the subsidised heat pump also produces the building's domestic hot water. We systematically plan for it where relevant.
Is a storage battery subsidised in Fribourg?
The cantonal catalogue has no battery measure. Some municipalities or utilities may offer one-off support: we check your municipality before the quote — see our storage solutions.
Which envelope condition applies to a subsidised heat pump?
The building must have an envelope of at least CECB class E. If not, insulating first (M-01) and then replacing the heating is often the best sequence — and the two aids are cumulative.
Can Abelarti handle the application for me?
Yes. We check eligibility, prepare the documents, file or accompany the application, then follow the completion paperwork through to payment. It is part of our service — talk to an advisor.
