Air-to-water heat pump (M-05) — base, + CHF 200 per kWth
CHF4'000
Insulation (M-01) — + IP-14 bonus up to CHF 50/m² extra
CHF60/m²
Storage battery — base, + CHF 80 per kWh (cantonal aid)
CHF800
Which subsidy for your project?
Solar panels
No cantonal aid for residential solar: the federal Pronovo grant, after commissioning. But the associated battery IS subsidised by the canton.

Heat pump
CHF 4'000 + 200/kWth air-to-water, CHF 8'000 + 400/kWth geothermal — when replacing an oil, gas or electric heating system.

Thermal insulation
CHF 60/m² of insulated element, plus the Bâti-moment IP-14 bonus: up to CHF 50/m² extra if you insulate at least 90% of the envelope.
Am I eligible? →Solar and battery: Pronovo plus a unique cantonal aid
For the panels themselves, Neuchâtel follows the regional rule: no cantonal aid for residential installations, the federal Pronovo grant is claimed after commissioning.
The Neuchâtel particularity is the storage battery2: the canton pays CHF 800 + CHF 80 per kWh of capacity for a fixed battery (from 3 kWh, up to 2 kWh per installed kWp of solar, at most 50% of the investment), commissioned after 1 March 2026 and coupled to a solar installation with self-consumption.
Watch the direction of the process: unlike the other aids, the battery application is filed after commissioning, within 6 months of the OIBT safety report — after that, the right lapses. See our Sigenergy and Enphase batteries.

Heat pump: CHF 4'000 or 8'000 base plus power
The PB-NE 2026 supports replacing an oil, gas or fixed electric heating system1:
- Air-to-water (M-05): CHF 4'000 + CHF 200 per kWth — with a CECB envelope class A to E.
- Ground- or water-source (M-06): CHF 8'000 + CHF 400 per kWth; drilling by a Swiss-certified company.
Common conditions: the heat pump becomes the main heating, with no fossil back-up; heat-pump system module up to 15 kWth; power capped at 50 Wth/m²; works declared via the Guichet unique. The application is filed imperatively before works start.

Insulation: CHF 60/m², up to 110 with the Bâti-moment
Neuchâtel's M-01 pays CHF 60 per insulated m² (roof, walls, floor), and the 2026–2027 campaign adds the IP-14 bonus1:
| Element insulation — U ≤ 0.20 W/m²K after works (M-01) | CHF 60/m² |
| IP-14 bonus: ≥ 90% of facade + roof surfaces insulated | + CHF 50/m² |
Conditions: permit before 2000, improvement of at least 0.07 W/m²K, minimum CHF 3'000 per application (about 50 m²), CECB Plus from CHF 10'000 of aid. The IP-14 bonus is a separate application, also before works. Discover our insulation solutions.

Your subsidy application in 4 steps
Eligibility and estimate
We identify the applicable federal, cantonal and municipal subsidies — clearly separating confirmed amounts from estimates.
Technical visit
A technician checks the building, power sizing, surfaces and the documents your application needs.
Filing at the right moment
Before works for cantonal measures, after commissioning for the Pronovo one-time federal grant.
Follow-up until payout
Invoices, certificates, completion notice: we follow the file until the money is actually paid.
Two extras worth remembering
Municipal subsidies
Several municipalities in the canton — including Neuchâtel, La Chaux-de-Fonds, Le Locle, Val-de-Travers — grant additional energy or renovation aid. Amounts, deadlines and budgets vary: get written confirmation from the municipality before counting this aid in your financing. We check your municipality before the quote.
Tax deductions
Energy-saving works are generally tax-deductible for private owners — but only the share you actually pay after subsidies counts. Confirm the details with the cantonal tax administration; we provide the supporting documents.
Abelarti in the canton of Neuchâtel
From the Littoral to the Neuchâtel mountains, our teams cover the whole canton. Neuchâtel is also one of the few Swiss cantons subsidising residential batteries — an advantage we handle end to end, including the deadline-critical filing after the OIBT report.
Are your works eligible for the 2026 subsidies?
We identify the schemes that apply at your address, quantify the aid in your quote and file each application at the right moment.

Does Neuchâtel subsidise solar panels directly?
Not for ordinary residential installations: support goes through the federal Pronovo grant. A specific cantonal aid of CHF 11'000 exists only for very large roofs (from 90 kWp), on top of Pronovo.
How does the Neuchâtel battery subsidy work?
The canton pays CHF 800 + CHF 80 per kWh of capacity for a fixed battery of at least 3 kWh coupled to a solar installation (at most 2 kWh per installed kWp and 50% of the investment), commissioned after 1 March 2026. The application is filed after commissioning, within 6 months of the OIBT report.
Should the application be filed before or after the works?
For the Buildings Programme (heat pump, insulation, IP-14 bonus): imperatively before. For the battery: the opposite, after, within 6 months of the OIBT report. For Pronovo solar: after commissioning. Three different calendars — we orchestrate them for you.
Which CECB condition applies to an air-to-water heat pump?
The building needs a CECB with envelope class A to E. If the envelope is class F or G, insulating first — with M-01 and the IP-14 bonus — then replacing the heating is the winning sequence.
Is the Bâti-moment bonus permanent?
No: the reinforced cantonal campaign is announced for 2026 and 2027. Rates may change afterwards — an argument for not postponing a mature global insulation project.
Can Abelarti handle the application for me?
Yes. We check eligibility, prepare the documents, file or accompany the application, then follow the completion paperwork through to payment. It is part of our service — talk to an advisor.
